Fresh off the Prostream is Art-Work Agency’s Art-Paper.
Fast Proof Press is a proud sponsor of ‘Other Things’, a group show showing at the new Art-Work Studios.
In Other Things, Art-Work Agency provokes its creative team to push the boundaries of their personal creative practices that are unfolding beyond professional and commercial application. Together they consider and examine new ideas, questions, experiences and materialities that demand experimentation and actualisation in real-time.
The Art-Paper showcases interviews with the artists, giving those who come to the show a tactile story to hold, take home with them and treasure forever.
We’ve asked Emma, from Art-Work Agency some questions about the process of designing and producing the Art-Paper.
About Emma’s practise —
FPP: Can you please tell us about what you do in your day to day working as a designer at Art-Work Agency?
Emma:
We really are very lucky in Art-Work Agency with our roles. Being a smaller team means that you are exposed to a variety of different roles and skills that you can build on. Every team member wears a multitude of hats here. I myself am an illustrator, graphic designer and stylist. I also paint murals and assist with shoots. So everyday is different.
FPP: The ‘Other Things’ group show is about pushing the boundaries beyond professional and commercial applications that you do in your every day. Can you tell us more about your ‘Other Things’?
Emma:
About the Art—Paper —
FPP: What is the Art—Paper’s core purpose?
Emma:
To shed some light on our artists who feature within the exhibitions and gain some deeper understanding about who they are and what they want to share with us.
FPP: Tell us about the process of creating the Art—Paper.
Emma:
It’s a clean and elegant, 20 page artistic journal that needs to be a feast for the eye. Art-Work still loves the feel of a printed keepsake so making this Art—Paper exciting, informative and aesthetically pleasing is paramount, not to mention true to our ethos as designers and artists.
FPP: Are you happy with the finished product?
Emma:
FPP: What’s next for Art—Paper? Will there be more?
Emma:
Oh yes. Expect there to be a long line of Art–Papers to come. And for those who have already collected the first two issues, we thank you for your continued support and interest in what we are doing here at Art-Work Agency.
Where to find Art—Paper —
